How StatKraken Gets Its Data

Trustworthy analytics start with transparent methodology. Here's exactly where our numbers come from.

Five data source types

1. Observed — directly scraped from public platform pages (play counts, ratings, rankings). 2. Archived — recovered from web archives (Wayback Machine, Common Crawl) for historical depth. 3. Estimated — interpolated to fill gaps between known data points. 4. Official — from platform APIs (Newgrounds.io today, more coming). 5. Panel — opt-in SDK data from partner developers (Phase 2).

Every metric in the UI will eventually be tagged with its source type.
