Half-Life: Blue Shift

The player controls security guard Barney Calhoun, one of the employees of the Black Mesa complex. The events take place parallel to the plot of the original Half-Life: while Gordon Freeman is trying to stop the disaster, Barney is trying to survive and get out of the destroyed science center. After an experiment that caused an interdimensional resonance cascade, the complex is filled with alien creatures and HECU military units. Barney helps scientists, fights monsters and searches for an escape route. The game retains its signature atmosphere: - science fiction, - isolation, - intense firefights, - gradual disclosure of the disaster through the environment, not through cut scenes. Today, Half-Life: Blue Shift is considered an important part of the classic series and complements the story of the world of the game universe.
