Super Tiles: Tile Puzzle
An ordinary jigsaw is assembled one piece at a time. Here it works differently: the moment two neighbouring pieces of the picture end up side by side, they fuse — and from then on they move as one body, whatever shape that body happens to take. That is where the whole tactic comes from. It pays to build in fragments: weld a corner, then an edge, then join the two with a single move. But the larger the shape, the more expensive it is to haul across the board — the price of a move is the number of tiles it displaces, and you see that price before you commit. 289 levels, 18 kinds of grid from 2×4 to 12×12, and from level ten hexagonal honeycombs appear, where every tile has six neighbours instead of four. Finishing economically earns stars, solved pictures stay in your collection, and any of them can be replayed on a larger grid for an extra star.
