Asteria

Asteria is a real-time strategy game about four powers competing for a contested sector. Found your own state, choose its leading species, government and civic principle, then take control of 12 out of 19 star systems. Develop planets, balance six resources and specialize colonies with 11 buildings. Research nine technologies, enact laws and manage population, stability and unrest. Build fleets from five ship classes, reinforce orbital defenses and watch decisive battles unfold. Rival powers follow the same rules: they trade, construct, research, sign treaties and wage wars. Use gifts, embassies, trade agreements and pacts, or conquer the frontier by force. The sector keeps moving in real time, but you can change the speed or pause the campaign whenever you need to plan.
