You can paint the images that you've chosen from the main menu using either the handheld tools, in which case you hold the mouse or finger on the screen and drag it to apply the colors. If you use the paint bucket, after choosing a color, you click where you want it to appear, and it will instantly fill up that space, inside the outlines. You can erase things whenever you wish.
